A downloadable game for Windows
[ About The Game ]
A liminal space psychological horror experience developed in Unreal Engine 5. Can you find the exit before the yellow walls consume your sanity?
You didn't clip out of reality on purpose. One moment you were living your ordinary life, and the next, you were standing on damp carpets under the relentless hum of fluorescent lights.
This is a short, atmospheric exploration game built on the lore of The Backrooms. Designed as a university graduation project, this experience focuses on the suffocating dread of liminal spaces and isolation.
🚨 [ LOG ENTRY #042 - SYSTEM OBJECTIVE ]
According to the scrambled data left by previous wanderers, the spatial distortion of this sector is stabilized by an anomaly—miniature toy trains scattered across the endless corridors.
* CORE MISSION: You must explore the labyrinth and COLLECT ALL THE TOY TRAINS to destabilize the loop.
* SURVIVAL TIP: There are no UI counters. No radars. Count them in your head. Trust your memory, find every single train, and pray that you are alone
[ Features ]
* No Hand-Holding / No Tutorial: There are no UI prompts, no maps, and no tutorials. You must figure out how to survive on your own.
* Immersive Constraint: To preserve the absolute psychological horror and panic, there is no pause menu or settings interface. Once you are in, the only exit is to escape... or force-quit the reality (Alt + F4).
[ Credits & Non-Commercial Notice ]
* Music & Audio: The background music and certain sound effects in this game were sourced from YouTube for educational/academic purposes. All credits and copyrights belong entirely to the original creators and artists.
* License: This game is a strictly non-commercial university graduation project. It is shared here fully free of charge as a portfolio piece to showcase level design and atmospheric horror concepts. No copyright infringement is intended.

Cool game that started strong, but that second area where the entity chases you seemed weird. I got to the point where it seemed I had to crawl into a green pipe, I would seemingly fall through the ground (hard to tell due to how dark it was), and the game would just send me back to the start of the level.
However, I really enjoyed the game up until that point; I just wished I could have figured out how to finish it. Great project overall!
Wow! Thank you so much for such detailed and valuable feedback! This means the world to me. The green pipe part is indeed a bug in the collision setup or map streaming from my graduation project build. Since I'm currently fully transitioning to the Godot engine to develop my next game based on my novel, I might not update this UE5 build. But your review gave me massive confidence! Thank you again for entering the backrooms, cheers!
looks nice
Thanks for checking it out! This was my university graduation project built with UE5. Feel free to download it and look for the hidden toy trains if you have time. Appreciate the feedback!
